Drawing inspiration from the sights, sounds, and people of San Francisco, Tommy P. self-produced a full-length album that encapsulates what it means to be a young person living in San Francisco. Enlisting the talents of MJ Lee, Wesley Woo, Rei Ostuka, and Rachel Schmitz, Tommy creates a haunting soundscape that reflects the various microclimates of the city. From the ethereal spaces of “Search For You” to the up-tempo two-step of “How Did We Go Bad,” Fog’s dynamic changes echo the temperamental nature of San Francisco weather, and perhaps its dwellers.

I would like to express gratitude to everyone who was involved in making this album a possibility. Special thanks to Carlos (Chuck) Cajilig for lending me your beautiful amp and Stephen Petersen for letting me borrow your microphone, which sounds much better than anything I own. Fog is the biggest project I have undertaken to date, and it wouldn’t be what it is without feedback from MJ Lee, Wesley Woo, Rachel Schmitz, Joshua Johnson, Ryan Ha, and anyone else who lent an ear. Thanks to Bazaar Café and Owen Lester (Les) for providing a space of support and love.
